Jury Qualifications

Qualifications:
  1. Must be 18 years of age.
  2. Must be a resident of Brazoria County and a United States Citizen.
  3. Must have never been convicted of a felony or the crime of theft.
  4. Cannot currently be on probation for a felony or the crime of theft.
  5. Cannot be currently under indictment for a felony or the crime of theft.
  6. Must be qualified under the Constitution and laws to vote in the county in which you are to serve as a juror.
  7. Must be of sound mind and good moral character.
  8. Must be able to read and write English.
  9. Must not have served as a juror for six days during the preceding three months in the county court or during the preceding six months in the district court.
