The Probate Court Investigation office reports to the four County Court at Law and Probate Courts and is staffed by:
The Guardianship Investigator investigates the circumstances alleged in an Application for Guardianship to determine whether a less restrictive alternative than guardianship is appropriate and submits a report to the Court. The Guardianship Investigator also audits all Annual Accounts, Annual Reports and other documents and submits recommendations to the Courts. The Probate Court Investigation Department is the liaison between the Probate Courts and the guardians.
