FIREARMS DIVISION

     The Firearms Division is located in the Forensic Crime Lab of the Sheriff's Office.  This Division assists all local police agencies within Brazoria and Matagorda Counties with any Firearm related item(s).  With the help of Harris County, Houston Police Department and other Firearms Labs in the Brazoria County surrounding area, this division collects and test fires all weapons which are submitted as evidence at the Sheriff's Office.  To learn a little more about Firearms Identification and some of the tools and instruments we used please click on the links below.
